Padel Player Level Guide
This guide is designed to help rank players from “Open” to “D”, providing clear descriptions of the skills and competencies expected at each level. This will ensure players are placed in the appropriate categories, fostering competitive and enjoyable play.
Open Level
The highest level of play, consisting of the top amateur players in the country.
Shots and Technique

Forehand & Backhand: Exceptional power, spin, and placement. Able to hit winners from various court positions.

Volleys: High precision and control, consistently winning points at the net.

Smashes: Powerful and accurate, often ending points with a smash.

Lobs: Consistently deep and accurate, used strategically to change the pace of the game.

Back Wall: Expert use of the back wall, turning defensive shots into offensive opportunities.

Side Wall: Mastery in using the side wall for both attacking and defensive plays.
Game Understanding

Tactics: Advanced tactical awareness, able to read the opponent’s game and adjust strategies accordingly.

Consistency

A Level
